What it is.

Magnesium is a mineral. The body cannot make it and relies on food.

Citrate is magnesium bound to citric acid. It dissolves well in water, unlike the oxide.

So on a label, look for two figures: how much salt, and how much magnesium is in it. Here it is 625 mg of citrate and 100 mg of magnesium.

625 mg in the daily dose.

Because of the tiredness. Magnesium and vitamin B6 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

One tablet holds 100 mg of magnesium (26.67% of the reference intake), vitamin B1 14 mg, vitamin B6 10 mg and vitamin B12 50 µg.

In Corti-Glow the magnesium is another form, bisglycinate. Here it is citrate, in one tablet in the evening.

Questions and answers.

What is magnesium citrate?

Magnesium bound to citric acid. 625 mg of citrate carry 100 mg of magnesium.

Magnesium citrate or oxide?

The oxide carries more magnesium per gram but hardly dissolves in water. The citrate dissolves well. On a label, look for both figures: how much salt, and how much magnesium is in it.

Magnesium citrate or bisglycinate?

Two different forms of magnesium. Corti-Glow has bisglycinate, Magnesium with B complex has citrate. No form is the best one for everybody.

How do I take it?

As the label says: one tablet in the evening. The 30-tablet pack lasts a month. If you take another magnesium product, do not combine them.

Can I take it with medication?

Magnesium can reduce the uptake of some medicines (tetracyclines, quinolones, bisphosphonates, levothyroxine). So keep them 2 to 4 hours apart and ask your doctor. With kidney disease, also check with a doctor first.

Can I take it while pregnant?

No. It is not for pregnant or breastfeeding women; the label says so too.
