What it is.
Myo-inositol is a vitamin-like compound. Chemically it is a relative of the sugars, but the body does not use it as sugar.
It was discovered in 1850 in muscle tissue, hence the name: "myo" comes from the Greek word for muscle.
"Inositol" is the shared name of nine related forms. Myo-inositol is the most common of them, in food and in the body.

2000 mg of powder do not fit in one capsule; it takes four. In the sachet they are part of one spoonful that you pour into a glass of water.
Together with L-glycine it is the largest amount in the sachet. These two figures are the reason Corti-Glow is a drink, not a jar of capsules.

Myo-inositol or D-chiro-inositol: what is the difference?
Both are forms of inositol. Myo-inositol is the most common, about 95% of the inositol in the body. Corti-Glow contains myo-inositol, 2000 mg per sachet.
Myo-inositol or "inositol" on a label?
"Inositol" is a shared name for nine related forms. If a label only says "inositol", it usually means myo-inositol.
Is it a vitamin?
It is called "vitamin B8" out of old habit, but in the European Union it is not a vitamin and has no set daily intake. That is why the box gives only the amount, with no percentage.
Can I combine it with medication?
Myo-inositol is a food ingredient, not a medicine. If you take medication, including the contraceptive pill or metformin, ask a doctor or pharmacist first.
Can I take it while pregnant?
Corti-Glow is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. The box says so too.
Are there side effects?
Individual intolerance and stomach discomfort are possible. Do not take more than one sachet a day, and if you have a reaction, stop and see a doctor.
